Why is it dangerous to spill car battery acid onto the metal frame of a car?

it does slowly cause metal to rust, and affects paint
wash off with plenty of water to neutralise

Causes damage to your car gradually and will not look good and it will cost a lot! ££££££££££$$$$$$$$$$$$$
