My mom's Honda blew out the radiator after 170,000 miles, but the engine is still going with a minimal amount of oil changes. As for my brother's BMW, it's been a pain in the ass. Audis are pretty reliable but i believe you will have a tough time reselling it later on in the US, i don't thnk they have a good marketshare. saab are very safe cars and i think it is now a GM subsidiary so you can fix it in any GM service center (to be verified), they are very reliable and safe.note that it also depends where you live. if you are by the beach get yourself a BMW 3 series (not necessarily the M3 which is the strongest and most expensive of the line, but a 328 convertible) if you live in an area which lots of rain and some snow in the winter go for a 4x4 bmw x5. if you want to look at mercedes : a c class or a clk convertible if you want a 4x4 look at the new glk for audi, the cars are amazing, a6 (sedan) a8 (top of the line) the new q7 (4x4), they are all good, also the a3 (small car -compact type) or the a5 (coupe) acura is to honda what lexus is to toyota, so you can go for that too. your budget and how much you want to pay for it is an issue. if you are looking to buy second hand, have the car checked by a mechanic and try to find out if the car was previously crashed. mercedes are probably to most expensive to fix/service out of the lot, then beamers.

The other four you mention are all going to be relatively expensive to repair if they go wrong as they are all considered higher quality cars.
