Where can I find out where automotive technology was created or invented?

I have to do a speech on something that is related to the UK and how it had an impact on that field. I’m very interested in cars, so I thought it’d be a good idea to do a speech on something i know and am interested in. So far, the only speech topic i thought of was the Impact the UK has had on the automotive industry, and i could go into different inventions that they have created in the autos to help us. I’m having A LOT of trouble. Any ideas?

Here’s some topics that may be of interest:
British Touring Car Championship
Aston Martins in Bond films
History of UK automobiles (the Morris Minor/Mini could be a hot topic there).
I’d personally go with either Astons in Bond films or BTCC because it’d be easier to find information and link it to what impact the UK had on it. Murcie_LP640
