What kind of car should I look into buying?

car
First Person Shooter asked:

I am a minor and this is my first time looking to buy a car. Like most guys my age I’m looking for a cool looking car (sports-car-ish), but at the same time i want to avoid the expensive auto insurance that comes with a car like a corvette.

So, my question is, what is a car that has good rates on car insurance and -at the same time- looks “cool”?

Get something small, like a corolla or a civic. Who cares what your car looks like as long as it gets you from A to B? the dirty liberal

When I was in high school I bought a manual Toyota Celica 2002. It is the perfect median for price, looks, and speed. And the stick shift was a lot of fun. It was VERY good on gas too.

Pros: great look, fairly cheap, pretty quick stock, good miles to the gallon

Cons: small backseats, only 2-door, a lot of cosmetic plastic that can be broken easily

If you are looking for an affordable car warranty to put on your car you should check out this website. Don’t forget to check out the homepage link for more information. stoicchief

Well since you are getting your first car, chances are insurance will be rather high regardless of the model. I would suggest a Subaru - chicks dig ‘em. Nickaroni

It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota… First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net Michael
