What kind of car do you think a stereotypical white-collar successful worker would drive?

car
x asked:

This is for a character in a book - he is mid-twenties, successful salesman, arrogant, and cheated on his wife.

What kind of car does he drive?
Also, why does he drive it? Why did it appeal to him?

Toyota Camry or a BMW 4door sedan

    Seconding the Beamer (BMW).

What kind of car did Sheldon McCoy drive in ‘The Bonfire of the Vanities,’ anyway? If it’s something still in production, maybe that as well.

I would say for a character of your description, something like an Acura RL (Legend), Dodge Charger or maybe a BMW, probably 3 or 5 series. If they have children, maybe a Chevy Tahoe or Suburban; possibly an Escalade.

These would be all black and chrome, dark tint, big wheels and killer stereo system.
