You can find all types of auto repair fraud by going to GOOGLE.COM.
Friend of mine loaned his truck to his son at Med School. He told him to make sure he had the truck serviced regularly. Son came home one weekend, dad looked at the service paper work. One of those QUICKY LUBE JOB places charged him for an oil change and lube job. Thing is, on the pick up there are no lubrication fittings underneath. Son was charged for work that could not be done.
If someone tells you that you need to change the turn signal fluid, or change the air in your tires because it's stale (smell it, see how bad it smells?) find someplace else! he he AmericanPatriot

Targets are generally frequent customers, women, and public naive in auto repair and cost.
Fraudulent practice is usually severed belts, punctured A/C systems, damaged suspension components, damaged lines holding fluids, punctured tires etc. Taking old parts and cleaning them up to look new and then selling them as new parts.
Safer for a customer, take a vehicle to a person you can trust or take an expert with you. tercentenary98

I used to go to a noted dealer and started noticing that the costs for the suppossed charges were outrageous. And I quit them to go to a place that is smaller but more reliable. Told the so called dealer to go fly a kite. They were trying to charge me $1100.00 and most of the so called work did not need to be done. But they wanted me to pay for useless work. So I stay away from them. So I would say if you have doubts take it to another person like a reliable mechanic and see what that person says and have it checked out that way. oldestme
