What is the cheapest car for a family of 5?

car
dewz asked:

Help! Our lease is up on one of our SUVs. What is the cheapest car (both cost and to operate) for us? We need enough room for 5 - 2 car seats for our 1 year old twins, and 1 six year old.

We would look at used cars too.. Appreciate any help!!
What about non-SUVs?

My friend just bought a 2010 Equiox and it has a 100,000 mile warranty. REV B

If you want to consider used cars the Chevy lineup has Impala and Malibu that are great options.
New cars I’d suggest Kia or Hyundai for cheep, cheep, cheap. billy25685

The Jeep Patriot and Jeep Compass are basically the same car. They have five star safety ratings. They have best in class fuel economy. Both start below $20,000. The Patriot actually starts below $19,000. They are quality cars and the are relatively cheap. They have five seats, so it may be a tight squeeze at times, but they will work for you.
