But at any rate there are some excellent public (cheap) engineering universities in the USA. Arizona state has an excellent program; as well as incredible women. Virginia tech has an excellent engineering school as well. It is in the beautiful blue ridge students and you will get a blend of culture as Students from Virginia (southern USA) and Maryland (distinct mid Atlantic culture) and further north go to this school. Penn state also has an excellent engineering program.

No matter where you go foreigners are generally accepted with open arms (and legs). Don't believe all the anti-American nonsense.
