What do you think about a decoy car AKA bait car to catch thieves?

I heard the statistics something like every few seconds or so, somewhere and someplace a car is stolen by car thieves.
How about law enforcement to create a trap for car theft? First, the suspect gets in the bait car and drives. Then, the bait car locks itself so that way the suspect cannot escape, and the policemen follow the decoy car to arrest the suspect.

I think it is great. No one forces them to get into that car and drive away. They choose to commit a crime and fortunately chose to steal a car that was geared to catch them. Early

Most car thefts are crimes of opportunity and involve people leaving their doors open or the alarm off and even the keys in the ignition.
Unless it involves baiting a known car theft ring that targets popular cars, it would be a waste of time. maxmom

I like that show , its a terrible crime being cars are peoples life in alot of ways so this is a good payback to car thieves and entertaining Right wing Cuban

listen it is a great tool the cops use! simple as that ! now Newark new jersey is the Number one state in this country for cars being stolen ! you can check that out!
