You could call the police and have them ticket it. Then you can get a tow truck to impound it. However this is not easy to have done by a regular person. Getting a private tow company to come out to your house might be harder than getting the people to move the car. Jackie

If the car is blocking your driveway you can call the police and they will have it towed. If it is merely in front of your house, not blocking your driveway, it is legally parked and you can’t do anything.

I understand your frustration. I get the same thing in front of my house.

Unless their cars are a) blocking your driveway or b) somehow on your property (your driveway, lawn, etc.) they still remain on public property. In the first instance, a police officer can ticket for obstruction of a driveway of a personal residence. Only in the second situation can YOU legally tow off YOUR property.

Oh- and where is the nearest fire hydrant? It’s been years since I went to drivers ed but I believe it’s 10 feet clearance that needs to be maintained in front of a hydrant? That’s a ticketable offense. Don’t know about towing tho, but might be worth checking out.

My last suggestion is this. If this is a fairly busy street with all sorts of people parking in front of your house (e.g. a school, a busy church nearby whose parking overflows each Sunday onto the street) you can request the city put up “No Parking” signs. However, they will only do so if it highly trafficed and there are a lot of parking offenses. Gary C

Call the police and let them tell them to move their cars. Police will give them a warning. Neighbors do it again call the police again. Eagles Fly

Call the non-emergency number for the police and ask them to drive by your home. Any car that blocks your driveway is parked illegally.
Ask the police officer what your rights are and what actions you can take.
