What brand of car amplifier do you recommend for someone on a budget?

car
Jeff asked:

I’ve seen Pyle and Dual at Walmart. They are around the price range I want to pay, but I’m afraid might be too cheap. Does anyone have any experience with some cheaper brands of car amplifiers? (sony xplod, dual, pyle……)
I have two 10″ rockford fosgate subs.

I always have liked amps by Memphis. Good quality & decent sound specs. Quality always costs money. But the real waste is having to buy amps again b/c the ones you bought the 1st time were too cheap. The Eagle Keeper

dual and pyle are COMPLETE garbage, not worth it, since when they break, you will have to buy a new one.

Sony is not the best either, but most would agree its a step above pyle and dual… kicker makes some amps that are pretty affordable on ebay, refurbished models.

What type of amp are you looking for? How many watts? (and how many ohms is each sub?) odinsragess

KOLE audio and HiFonics are awesome. I run a HiFonics Brutus BXI 1610D wouldn’t trade it for the world. We need more information on the exact model of the drivers. Bodyrot
