SCOOBA STEVIEEE asked: I have about 11 grand to spend, but a mini cooper S just costs an ass load to maintain and to buy. So what car gets as good as gas mileage and still packs some horsepower?
Thanks in advance.

Okay I have a 1991 Chevy Beretta, it is a good running car, you can barely hear the motor running. I have spent at least 1700 worth of work on it, but it has 173,000 miles on it I was wondering how long is a car good for before it breaks down completely. Someone told me a car is good forever as long as you take care of it and keep it running good. Is this true? not to mention people who drive older cars like cars made in the 60s and 70s, they have to have lots of mileage right? but they are still running so how long for a 91 chevy beretta???????

My wife needs a car that gets good gas mileage and is durable and safe. We would like to keep the cost low (under $10,000) and she can only drive an automatic. Any suggestions for make and model? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

LadyinRed asked:
Like if the car is large, what does that do to the gas mileage? Is there a positive or negative correlation between the two? If you can only answer what gas mileage is that would be just as fine. Thanks.

In most auto dealers or where ever you have your car maintained, serviced and fixed, they have recommendations on what should be “serviced” based on your car mileage. Are they right?

I am looking for a reliable used car with decent mileage and versatile cargo space on a college student budget. I am not to worried about style or speed, my biggest concerns are that I am 6′5″ and would like to fit behind the wheel, and am planning to drive home about 1800 miles with a dorm room full of stuff. What sort of cars should I be looking for?

Christine asked:
I got my car serviced on Monday. Its currently at just under 39,000km on the clock. The garage said I’ve to bring it back when it gets to 53,000km (32900 miles) or March 09. This gives it only a difference of 14k km (8700 miles). This does not seem like much to me. My car is 2006 Seat Leon.
Am I right or wrong to think this is a low number of km in between services?

I have an economical car, but it really is not when you driving really fast. They say its not the car, but how you drive your car. I would suppose a Prius would not be efficient if you are driving 80 miles per hour with such a small engine compare to a BMW M3.
