My grandmother has an older model mercury sable. The car drags 5-6 revolutions before finally starting. It has been doing this for couple of weeks, so don’t think its the alternator or battery. Belt squeaks, especially at idle, bad bearing in one of the pulleys or what?
Belt is tight

I have a 2000 Mercury Cougar it is missing a front bumper and has a small dent, as well as 110,000 miles on it. I am looking to sell this car and get as much as I can for it. NOT interested in trading it in. I have another car. What is the most effective way method to sell a used car?

mynx326 asked: I have a 1994 Mercury Sable and it has been overheating. I took it to Tuffy and they said it looks like the integrated control module or relay module has gone bad.
He didn’t charge me anything to check out the car because my car is so old his software isn’t compatible. I am quite mechanically minded and car-literate, but I have never heard of this part and I can’t find anything about it online. From my understanding it regulates the fuel pump, cooling fan, and a few other things.

I really wish I didn’t have to wait several minutes to start driving after starting up my car in the winter. I freeze my booty because I have to wait for the heat to work. Is it true that if you don’t wait, your engine will mess up or something? I have a 1996 Mercury Cougar (I’m hoping to upgrade soon). Newer cars don’t require this tedious waiting, right? Can stepping lightly on the gas while the car is parked help? Why should we do this?
