Car problems - What is it when my car squeals but has new belts?

Squeals when heat is on and car idols low. When it squeals there is a visible dimming in the lights. Loss of power?
Yeah I figured it was alternator but I just want to see what other people thought. Thanks.

Why does my car make a squeaking/screeching sound when i turn on the air conditioning?
