Chipo asked: I drove into the back of a car 2 weeks ago (my fault) my insurance company organised to get it collected. The company that were assessing it have just phoned and declared it a write off and valued my car at £500. What happens now?

bari asked: My car was broken into and the insurance company wants me to drive the car while the thief’s blood is still in it. The areas are being replaced - inner door, glove compartment hood, leather seat - The parts take 3 weeks to get in and they wont pay for my rental car (I DO have rental insurance with them.) while the car is just sitting there waiting for the parts to come in.

Baz asked: When a car is wrriten off in an accident that is not your fault, how does the insurance company figure out the cars worth? Normally your insurance pays you whatever they have insured the car at, but when its not your fault your insurance has nothing to do with it so how does the other parties insurance company calculate how much to pay you?

Lil M asked:
My friend just had a car accident today. She reported to AAA thinking that she was corvered under her parents. After reporting to AAA insurance company, she called her parents and told them about it and they said she wasn’t corvered. What happens now? She has one of the people from AAA coming tomorrow to take pictures of the damaged car.
The car itself has a one-way insured by the parents.

Aquabug222 asked: I have my own car and insurance company.
My girlfriend has her own car and insurance company.
Can I drive her car? What would happen if I got into an accident? How much would it cost to be insured with her car? How would that work with 2 different insurance companies? THANK YOU!

Bill R asked:
I have heard that accidents and tickets will affect car insurance rates for five years. I was in an accident four years ago, that was determined to be my fault. Now, my (old) insurance company just settled this claim. Is this going to affect my rates for five years from the settlement date or from the date of the accident?

Roger C asked: My car has been in a Toyota approved body shop for 42 weeks;any one had this happen to them what was the outcome.
Can I tell the insurance company to keep it and give me the value of the car at the time of the accident
.
Are there alternatives I can claim for.
I have been supplied with another car in the meantime but can not use it for working as I need a Tow Bar fitted.
