How do i install a new car deck on a 95 Chevrolet Cavalier?

I just bought a new car deck because the stock deck in the cavalier really sucks. The car deck in the Cavalier is way bigger than the new one i just bought. If i install the new one there will be a big gap in the dashboard, is there anything i can buy to cover it up?

Also do i need to buy a new car deck harness to install it? Or do i just connect the harness that came with the new car stereo to the stock harness that’s already in the car.

What are my options if my financed car was totaled and I only had liability on the car?

I now hear that is not a possible situation? That it is NJ state law that all financed cars must have full coverage. I was not aware of that. I also had GAP insurance on the car in case of the car being totaled, it had handle the loan. I heard from the car dealership that is only valid with full car insurance. Now, it seems like I have to pay off the car in full with interest. Is that my only option?
