1999 Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec asked: What marks do you need in high school to get into a good university for automobile engineering? What subjects do you need these marks in?
What happens between the transmission and engine when a car is in idle? Is the clutch disengaged?

screamzz_05 asked:
I own a manual shift car. I often find it difficult to drive it on the hills or slope. When it stops on a slope i follow this procedure which i find very difficult to use. I start the car again having the brake pedals ON and the move to first gear pressing the clutch. I am not able to release the brake pedal and press the accelerator cause it suddenly starts moving backwards. How do i overcome this problem ?

I have a car that the clutch went out on and I droped it off at this car repair place over 5 weeks ago. Every time I call to see what is going on they say Oh they didnt call you it should be done tomorrow. On monday of this week my Boyfirend called over there to see what was going on, and the guy was liek oh they didnt call you I feel really bad but some older lady was all frazeled in the lot and backed into your car about a week ago. We are sending it out to be fixed it should be done by Wednsday of this week. Well Yesterday I stoped by to see if it was done yet and the guy was like oh we are sending it out tomorrow they didnt call you? It should be done by tomorrow afternoon. I went over to the car to look at it The hood was up, parts were out, the trunk was open, and there was a huge dent in the door, and straches on the opposite fender. Is this Legal? I took pictures of it all last night. What can I do?

thenewgamesource asked: I bought a standard 1987 toyota corolla so I can practice driving stick. My main problem is smoothly driving my car out of first gear. I try to gently release the clutch while slowly applying gas but then the car always ends up jumping forward or coming to a slow stall.
How can I get the car to smoothly come out of parking without having to rush into 2nd gear and mashing on the gas pedal?

NakedHike asked: I’ve had two cars with automatic transmissions and I’ve hated them both. Can you say BORING?
Besides that, auto trannys don’t allow for as much control of a person’s center of gravity, or speed control, and they’re hard no brakes, among other things.
Me AGain, I’m sorry I’m not as eloquent as you would like Leaning with turn and holding stick shift = adjusting center of gravity - not something one things to do in an auto tranny. And for your information my car has lasted 170,000 miles before trans had to be replaced. Clutch was fine. Not bad for a low end Toyota. What do you drive, a Pontiac? otherwise known as crappy GM car with a deplorable reputation like all of their cars. And I said cars, not their trucks.
