Lori S asked: I have a 1988 Pontiac Grand Am. After driving for a short period of time (usually about 20 mins.) and after having to sit in idle once I start going again the car will start to buck when I come to a stop the car will die. When the car sits for about 20 mins. it will start back up and act like nothing ever happend. Also the car heats up when in idle. I have ruled out torque converter.

radicshot10 asked: I have a stock 2006 Mazda 6 2.3L I4 and I was wondering about modifications. I’m not too familiar with car modding, but I’m slowly getting into the car scene and looking into increasing horse power and general speed of the car.
What sort of modifications will allow this? If so, can you list them and explain what each one does and if you know what models are good to add to the Mazda, I would greatly appreciate that.
Thank you.

Pink, it’s my new Obsession asked: On a 91 Thunderbird I have to press the brake pedal ridiculously hard to make the car start. It’s gradually gotten worse over a few months and now it’s to the point where I can’t even do it, my husband has to. But when the car is running the brake works just fine, no problems at all, don’t have to push any extra harder or anything…it’s only when starting the car.
What could the problem be and can I fix it myself? Any suggestions, tips? Thanks.

dewz asked: Help! Our lease is up on one of our SUVs. What is the cheapest car (both cost and to operate) for us? We need enough room for 5 - 2 car seats for our 1 year old twins, and 1 six year old.
We would look at used cars too.. Appreciate any help!!
What about non-SUVs?

Kaleah asked: Now I understand that a 16 year old is an inexperienced driver, but I really want a car that I am not embarrassed to drive down the road. Of course it has to be good on gas for the sake of my wallet! Any suggestions? A link to a picture of the car would help a lot so I don’t have to keep going to Google…Thanks a bunch!

By the way, I live in the city (so pickup trucks don’t fall under the stylish category) and I’m a girl.

sometimes it goes asked:
I bought a used car last July that’s nickel and diming me and now I’m ready for a new car. Final purchase price of the car was $17K total, including financing interest. Sticker was about $14K. This first year of ownership has cost me $6K, including down payment and monthly payments. However, Kelly Blue Book trade in value for my vehicle right now is a miserable $7K. So, even if I sold my car now for $7K, I’d still owe about $2K on the loan I’d have to pay out of my own pocket. And, on top of that I’d have no car. Any help in how I might get a new car and make it work financially?
