Tauna asked:

Long story short, my mother financed a car with my now ex-boyfriend. His father has the car now and has not yet paid registration and is generally late on the car payments. Since the guy is no longer my boyfriend, my mother and I are completely fed up with the unreliability and we don’t want the car for ourselves. Basically, what is the easiest way to turn in a car to a credit company with as little hassle as possible? How will it affect the credit of the parties, too, if you may know? Thank you!

I’m a couple grand in debt, not much really but i’ve been late on a lot of payments as a result of being unemployed for a time. My car is about to give up but right now i’m new in my job and can’t afford to pay the huge payments that my credit card requires. Does anyone know of a good way to get a car loan depite bad credit?

Mother o’ Four asked:

And does the time start all over again if they assign the account to a new collection agency?
We got in a bad spot and had a car repo in 2002 and the company it was orginally financed through has changed collection agencies twice.
We owed $14,000 on the loan and they sold the car for $5,000 so are we still supposed to pay on the loan even though the car was resold?

I know that obviously taking a loan out for a new car appears on your credit as a vehicle loan. - I am wondering how does leasing a car differ on your credit report, what type of account would it show up as?
