Eleanore Shearin asked: I locked the car with a remote key (keyless entry system). Later my remote stopped working and I could not unlock the car with remote. I forced open with the key, but alarm started, and typically car does not start. How to start the car even though alarm is on.

ownaged_d_r asked: I have a mazda 6 2004, and the car alarm is absolutely annoying. I would park on the street and when a truck or large vehicle would drive by, it would trigger the alarm because of the vibration. I removed the Horn Relay from the fuse box and that did the trick, but also took out my steering wheel horn. Would I have to go to a mazda dealership?

Andrea asked:
I don’t want the alarm to set automatically when I leave the vehicle. I want to set it when I know I have the keys in my hand. I have locked them in the car twice because I got out for a minute and the doors locked. One time the engine was still running.

Ed C asked:
My car was equipped with a remote control alarm (Venom). After a year of installation the remote controller became erratic, sometimes functioning sometimes not, sometimes I went around the car to get the right position before it works, until it malfunctioned totally. I try to replace the battery but to no avail. Thinking the remote controller already broke down, I decided to use the spare, and for more than a year I have no problem using it. However, since last week, I encounter similar problem with the first. Was it a problem with the remote controller or the car alarm unit itself? or the transmitter? Please help…thanks.

L D asked:
The car alarm is an aftermarket Prestige model (it has a valet switch). The valet switch didn’t stop it from sounding last time I removed the battery cable.

I have a 2007 LaCrosse and on several occasions it has gone off even thought I don’t set it when I get out of the car. Usually happens right after I’ve stepped out of my car.
