Tuan D asked: How do you do the journal entries if a car dealership sold a car with a trade in?
Lets say the dealer is selling the BMW for 24,000 with original cost of 20,000. And the trade in from the customer is worth 18,000.
So the dealer receives 6,000 cash from this transaction but how is revenue recognized?

Alexander G asked: I am 15 years old. I know that you can get your permit when you are 15 and a half. I turn 15 and 6 months in March of 2010. First of all, I would also like to know how a permit works. I am an identical triplet, my mom cannot afford insurance for all of us. We have a 1985 BMW and we are preparing mechanical alternations on it. How can we all have car insurance to cover our payments?

Diego A asked:
I’ve this week observing a PC game, really good, a simulator for novices, whit sublte differences between the cars. The game shows and lets you upgrade some, but the other ones are what make the difference.
I played mostly with the Audi TT and the BMW M3, and noticed that, while the TT would redline at 6k RPM, 7k was normal for the M3 And I would like to know what effect this has in their performances.
So far I notedthat the game trats the TT (AWD, 3.2l engine) as “less massive” (don’t know the curb weigh of the cars), and yet it has more or less the same response when you accelerate that the “heavier” M3 (RWD). I feel, and i may be mistaken, that during a desaccelerarion a car that stands higer RPM’s wont lower his revolutionstoo much, providing a good response when you need to speed again. I am right? High? Anything else i should know?

Victoria U asked: My daughter is 16 and my husband and I are going to get her a car. But we don’t know which. These are our choices:
Toyota Yaris
Audi A4 or TT
Lexus IS
BMW 3 series sedan
Mazda 6
None of these are over $40K. But since she is our only 16 year old and our oldest is NOT getting a car no matter what we don’t care about the price. Which do you think is best, or do you have any other suggestions?
