I have a 93 cavalier the battery cables have no power getting through them. All the lights turn on and everything works it just wont start. When you turn it over all it does is clicks once in the starter relay. We tried jumping it with another car and there was no power in the terminals. We had the battery, alternator, and starter check at auto zone and they were all working. The ground wire is mounted to the frame and is rusting. Since the terminals have no power is that because the ground doesn’t have a good connection?

How do I keep my car battery from draining overnight?

If I detach the car battery terminal cables at night and re-attach them in the morning the car starts fine. But if I leave the battery ‘connected’ as usual it goes dead overnight. Somehow it’s ‘draining’ when attached. How do I find out what the problem is and how do I fix it?
Thanks!
