I take my 5-month old puppy in the car with me a lot. She doesn’t particularly like getting in the car. Once you get her into the car she is the calmest dog and doesn’t act frightened at all. We actually use a harness for her because everytime we put her inside the crate she threw up. She does great with the harness. My problem is teaching her how to jump into the car. She will jump out, but not in. We have to pull her to the car on her leash. We have tried treats and my husband has gotten in the backseat to try to coax her. She is really leggy and heavy and I need to find a way to get her to get in the car on her own. Help!
We are normally going to the park when I take her for a ride. She loves to go where we are normally going. I don’t really get it either. We get realy excited and tell her we are going for a walk. She loves to go for a walk. Maybe I need a new phrase just for the car.
