Kinetic energy = 1/2 * mv^2
in this case, everything is the same except for the speed.
you will see once you plug in 2v into the equation at the top it will turn out to be 1/2 * m(2v)^2 = 1/2 * 4 * mv^2
doubling the speed will result in 2^2 = 4 times increase in KE.
Answer is 2400 *4 = 9600J David W

The kinetic energy is proportional to the velocity squared. If you double the velocity, the kinetic energy is multipled by 4
