How to remove mascara stains from car upholstery?

car
JTR2b asked:

Long story short- yesterday, my fiance and I were in the car. I was putting on my make up; he made a sharp turn, and my mascara brush smashed into the car upholstery. Any suggestions for removal? Thanks!

Because mascara is an oil base, an oil based solvent, which can be found at a dry cleaning establishment works best. The enzymes in dry cleaning solvent breakdown the protein glue which is the substances attaches the stain to the fabric, and also attacks the stain itself. Let it dry, and brush off. Genny B
