Hi, i have an old car audio player and i wish to modify it so that i can use the power supply from my room power socket and listen in my room. But i check the wire, there are red and yellow. Which one i should connect to the +12V?

    Whoa, that’s AC power coming from your room, and the car audio player runs on DC current.
    If you plug the player into an AC current, you’ll fry it. AC current runs on 110v or 220v depending on where you live, and the electricity flows differently than DC which only flows in one direction.

    You need an AC-DC power converter, or a battery charger.

    (if you have a power converter)!!!!!!!!!!!! Emphasis on that! then you will hook up both red and yellow wires.
