fayise43, Let me start out by saying I'm not the smartest person when it comes to auto repair. Last month I had some problems with my Honda Odyssey and I wasn't sure how to fix them. I tried to search the Internet for tips, but the procedures were way too complex for my skills. I ended up going to the dealship for my repairs. The dealership tends to charge more than mom and pop repair shops, but they've seen all sorts of situations ( insurance problems, repair warranty issues, etc) and they seem to always find a way to help me. Maybe you can try calling auto repair shops in your area to see if they can help you.

Big dent or small dent? A fairly large dent will require a bodyman to fix or reskin the door and repaint not only the door but also to "blend" the paint into adjacent panels...might run several hundred dollars. Replacing the door with a used one of the same color would be a lot cheaper if you can find one in a salvage yard in good shape.
A smaller dent with no paint damage may be able to be fixed by a PDR company...paintless dent removal...like Dent Wizards. Get a few estimates from some local bodyshops.

if the damage is not too bad, get a panel beater to repair & repaint it (door color may not match body perfectly), won't cost much i guess, just ask him for an estimate. or you could ask him if there's any old door from the scrapyard that can replace the damaged one, may be cheaper & faster way to do it.
if you're not too tight in the pocket, maybe get the whole car respray to match the color, & hope your girl friend will forgive & love you for that... :)

search auto salvage yards and see if you can find one there. It would probably only cost a couple of hundred dollars to replace it if you can find one that matches the color. Even if you can't match the color, you could most likely have it painted to match much cheaper than buying a new door which would probably have to be painted anyway.
car-part.com

theres a few places to start looking, and there are other online salvage searches that connect to salvage yards all over the country.

I'd just look into a wreckers or ebay or something for a new door. I've found panel beaters are ridiculous pricing though I think it depends on the placement of the dint. If it were my own car which is a piece of crap, I'd take the part off and hammer the opposite side with a block of wood and a hammer

Cheapest fix is to paint a piece of cardboard to match & duct tape it onto the door.
