How long will a car battery last after the first jump start?

My car battery just start it showing signs of wearing, enough to not be able to start the car, the radio and ligths all turn on but the motor wont turn, how long will it last on just jump starts?

    If it can’t start the car, it’s unless right now.

    If you are wondering why you still can drive the car, it because the alternator is providing the electrical power. But you need a battery to power the starter. Kenny

    You dont want to rely on just jumpstarts because once your battery is totally dead your at risk of frying your alternator. I would just go out and buy a new battery. EazyE

    Assuming the car continues running after you remove the jumper cables, the alternator is working. This is what actually powers the electrical system while the car is running. Either your battery is already beyond hope, or there is another issue you need to identify BEFORE dealing with the battery. There could be something draining the battery when the var is turned off. It is also possible your problem is as simple as loose battery cables. STEVEN F
