most DMV's state about 6 weeks as an average. some people that need it right away would go to a DMV office or station that handles them and they are able to transfer title right there. i realise this is a little late in your case. sorry! you can always call the DMV to see where it is. over the past few years, and many complaints, a lot of DMV's have gotten more friendly and realise that they only exist is to help the general public with their motor vehicle needs.
