How do I remove my amplifier from my car?

car
TBS asked:

I am getting a new car and need to remove my Amp from my car. It is mounted in my trunk and I need to have it out by tomorrow when I trade my car in. I called Best Buy and they charge 36 bucks to take it out so it must not be a simple thing, they said it might take them 30 minutes. I looked at it and there are wires coming out of it and stuff and I dont feel comfortable doing myself unless I know how to. Should I try it myself or let a pro do it?

It is not that hard to do. What you need to start with is disconnecting the wires from the amp. Make sure the fuse is out of the power wire so the wire is not live. Then you just need to take the wires out of your car.

The only hard part is if your amp is if your amp is connected to speakers. Then you would have to have the speakers connected to another source to get music from them. If the amp is just connected to subs then it shouldn’t be very hard at all.

    Good Luck!!!

Yes, thats true what the first guy said.
Just take off all the wires first.
Then Simply unscrew the amp from where it is mouted.
    Its not hard.
But, the may have set it up differently.
