How do cameras identify a car without a car plate?

I see a lot of new cars don’t have car plate installed, I was wondering how can cameras work with them? They only have a small sticker (temporary license) on the front window, but the text on the sticker is very small.

Those cameras can be zoomed way in to give incredibly large detail of even the smallest print Entidtil
