Most of us use a dent puller and "pop" the lock out. There will be a small slot under where the lock used to be, and you insert the screw driver and turn, just like a key. Check out AutoZone for a replacement cylinder. It comes with two new keys and costs about $15. (Just a note, you'll need a steering wheel puller for this, too.) I had a car that I had to break out the cylinder and ended up starting it with a pair of needle-nose pliers. That was fun.
