I notice that Mercedes-Benz is a sponsor of fashion events around the world, particulary in New York, but how do their cars and fashion come together? How could they use these events to promote cars, when in fact they are all about fashion?

I think that fashion and luxury will go together! If the Mercedes-Benz is luxury and the person who is fashionable is luxurious, so therefore Mercedes-Benz is a fashion.. Simple logic but has a great effects in our mental consciousness.
Also, it sponsor fashion events for the purpose of promotion on the product! They will extend their expenses in order to get peoples thought that this product is existing and therefore their assets will increase.
