GovernmentAuctions.org I used their site last year to track down 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It was in great condition and I only spent about 8K on it. Most banks send their cars directly to dealer auctions so they don't keep them around long. Public auctions are always high risk for finding a reliable car but you have to give up something to get a great price. Before I'd go the auction route I'd obsessively search Craigslist for bargains from private sellers. You can contact your local bank to see if they have any inventory.
