How can I become a Automobile Designer? I am a mech engg student, which course shud i study?

Mechanical engg is enough. Take Automobile engg as ur favorite subject and then proceed. Don’t ever think design and drawing are d same Best of Luck Binulal B R

In an automobile plant you see more than 90 Mechanical Engineers. Because a car is made of thousand mechanical parts, Mech. Engs are required to handle them.
When the car the is fully assembled it becomes an automobile and it goes to the automobile engineers. Automobile engs are also required in the design phase.
So, I think the Mech has more demand over there.

Well, i’ll try to explain to you how it goes.. actually as a mechanical engineer you have to study all the “common” mech eng courses, like statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, vibrational analysis, ..etc. All these courses are “essential” for any branch of any mechanical engineer. The Next step is to study more specialized courses examples on each specialization like : mechine tool design (production eng), or turbomachinery (mech power eng )or automobile design Automobile eng, and so on.
As for your case, if you have automobile eng in your college then you can join it, or you can make a master degree on automobile studies.
