asked: My husband rides a motorcycle to work most of the year and the registration on his car has expired. We’re planning on selling it in the next week or two so there really isn’t much point to re registering it. 2 days ago we received a newsletter announcing the new policy that no unregistered cars are allowed anywhere in the neighborhood and any unregistered cars will be towed. Can they really tow our car off of our driveway??? Don’t we have any rights as homeowners?

smart kId Izzy asked: Suppose an automobile owner decides to cover a part of the state license plate. Will he be arrested for doing so? Or is it o.k. since it is HIS automobile, making it HIS license plate, therefore allowing him to do what he wants to it, since it under HIS ownership?
what if the reason for covering it is for religious purposes? would that be a right protected by the first amendment?

rare2findd asked: ~
the acident was caused by the other driver. The deceased had no automobile, - thus no automobile insurance, lived alone, was not married. The person was killed instantly. The person has adult sisters and brothers. There was no Will.
The deceased left no unpaid bills. All expenses of the funeral were borne by the family.
Is there a wrongful death issue here? and if so, since there was no husband or children, is there a recovery if only for funeral expenses and other expenses (medical examiner, ambulance, etc/)?

Rob asked: What is the best way to show a judge or an opposing party the extent of the damage in an automobile accident?
What would be the best way for the attorney to show the jury and judge or the opposing party the extent of the damage in a crash of which his client was not at fault?

Phiops asked: I was in an automobile accident, seemed limited with little damage. Yet, the other party have hired a lawyer and my bodily injury liability is 15k/30k per incident. If the other party wants to come after my assets, are there any protected such as 401k, current auto, etc. What is the best way to protect myself? I’ll probably get a lawyer soon but thought I’d ask here to get a sense of what I’m up against.
Thanks for any advice from someone who might have been through similar.

Starting over asked: My dad was recently killed in an automobile accident. Both drivers were killed, and there were no other passengers. The other driver was reported to be traveling at high speeds, crossed the center line and hit my dad’s vehicle head-on. What kind of action can be taken by our family besides normal payment for the vehicle damage, etc? Can a wrongful death suit be filed when both drivers are killed? I know we need to speak to a lawyer, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice or experiences that would help me?
