CheckPoint asked: I live in Massachusetts, but I go to school in Vermont. I am buying a car at a local Vermont dealer and I was wondering if I can get the car registered in Vermont instead of Mass.
I know that you can do this with motorcycles in some states, but I was wondering about cars.
Thanks.

Jeffrey Sierra asked: I took my sister’s car and drove it and crashed it on a pole, pole got a bit scratched. The car is totalled. I do not have a driver’s license and the car is not covered by insurance. What is the worst thing that can happen to me with the law? I am 18. Can i possibly be facing jail time?

asked: What if you have a car and thus need a drivers license and annual car registration, but have no home since homeless. What address do you put on your DL and car registration? How do you have proof of residency if living in a vehicle, when some states insist on having a residential address?? How do you register your car if the DMV won’t let you register your car, because you live in your car and don’t have a normal address?

ilikeyourface asked: I live in North Carolina and I am selling my car to a friend who now lives in Michigan. This is further complicated by the fact that I will have already moved to another country at the time that she’ll be in NC to get the car.
So how do we transfer ownership between states? I’ve done it before with someone in NC, and they were at the DMV with me, but I have no clue how to do it with someone who is in another state.

Adamtoby30 asked: Im planning on buying a car tommorow, the internet websites say i can start insuring tommorow if i wanted to but im guessing the paper documents might not arrive till after the actual insurance starts. In UK law, am i allowed to drive the car, technically i am insured, its just i wont have the documentation to prove it if i somehow i am involved in an accident before the paperwork arrives? Will i be able to drive the car before the documentation arrives?

Ashli asked: I drive a rental car, but the insurance is very expensive. I have to pay a daily price. I have non owners insurance, but that does not cover collision. Is there a way to avoid paying these prices as they are so expensive but still have full coverage? I tried to insure the car but I couldn’t being that it isn’t minds. The non owners policy is legal but it doesn’t cover the car. Thanks for any suggestions.

Davey Dave Dave Dave asked: A couple weeks ago I had an accident that resulted in £3000 worth of repairs, and the car was valued by the garage at £2650 minus the £250 excess. My insurer has sent me an email and has offered a settlement of £1500 minus the £250. Am I wrong in thinking this is ridiculous?! I only bought the car 3-4 weeks ago for £2500, so what can I do to up this figure?
