Can I attach a car battery to an electric fence wire just by the leads?

Thanks for answering. Oh I see, of course, it has to have a pulse!!
I am not sure if I can connect it with original box.

How do i stop my horse from being so afraid of cars and traffic?

He is alright with a car going by in the yard i keep him at ,Its only with roads and fast cars.
