Tauna asked: Long story short, my mother financed a car with my now ex-boyfriend. His father has the car now and has not yet paid registration and is generally late on the car payments. Since the guy is no longer my boyfriend, my mother and I are completely fed up with the unreliability and we don’t want the car for ourselves. Basically, what is the easiest way to turn in a car to a credit company with as little hassle as possible? How will it affect the credit of the parties, too, if you may know? Thank you!

Gale F asked: I plan on purchasing a used car from a local dealer, and go shopping at several car dealerships. What is, in your experience, a reasonable, most used interest rate for the car loan financed through the dealership?

I have very little down payment for car but can make payments. I’ve seen opportunities on Craigslist but I want to protect myself and handle this in best legal, cleanest way. How is this done?

MissJessica asked:
My husband and I signed a $20,000 loan on a truck. The payments were behind and the car was in a wreck. The truck was repossessed and the loan company says we still owe $8000. The loan company offered a settlement of $2800 if we pay by the end of the month. Does this sound right to anyone?
How would it really affect my credit if I pay off the loan now?

I know that obviously taking a loan out for a new car appears on your credit as a vehicle loan. - I am wondering how does leasing a car differ on your credit report, what type of account would it show up as?
