Natalia asked: I like the idea of electric powered cars but it seems that they are really slow and need to keep getting charged up again. Are we going to see electric cars that are just like other cars soon

Pedro asked: I have been reading a number of articles about changing to hydrogen cars and how it would result in a decrease in pollution. While it is true a hydrogen car would be a number of times cleaner than a regular gas car, I have a few doubts about how clean the hydrogen making process would be. If hydrogen obtained from water, wouldn’t it require a great deal of energy to get the hydrogen out of it? Wouldn’t the energy required to do this come from oil and the more traditional non-green energy sources? Overall, is the process for obtaining enormous amounts of hydrogen overall green at all?

In 2007 and 2008 there was all this news and now nothing.
In know Honda and Chevy where planning on making one and i believe BMW actually made one.
Its seems like there focus now is hybrids.
I was planning on holding off on buying a new car until they were released but it looks like hydrogen cars aren’t coming any time soon.
Will hydrogen fuel cell cars ever come?

If you don’t get you power form a nuclear, wind, hyro, or solar plant doesn’t it make the car useless. If coal, diesel, and natural gas might have more emissions than gasoline, it couldn’t be used with them and still have zero emissions.

JustHelping asked:
I am looking to buy a car that runs off of biodiesel and ethanol, but I’m having problems finding what cars are out there. I want them made this year and not personally converted, manufactured that way. Can anyone give me a list of what manufactured cars run off of one or the other alternative fuel listed?

loudwalker asked: I want to know if anyone has modeled this scenario. And please educate me if I have some fundamental misunderstandings about any of this. But less just say that tomorrow, all cars suddenly were converted to hydrogen powered cars emitting nothing but water as exhaust. What would the climatological effects be of introducing all that water into the atmosphere? My gut tells me that there would be fairly significant effects related to weather, water levels, ozone, whatever.
I have asked this question before and been called a left wing, environmentalist cook. I have no political agenda in asking this. I just want a thoughtful answer and some references to facts and data related to this topic.

I keep hearing hydrogen fuel cells are the future for cars. If I wanted to invest in them, what company should I buy stock in? Who is making hydrogen fuel cells? Thank you.

Tavish Tavish asked: What will the car firms go with?
Hydrogen cells that produce energy when it is filled with oxygen and hydrogen or electricity powered straight into a cars battery from a charger.
Hydrogen is looking like the preferred choice right now but battery technology is getting much better supposedly.
Thank you.

sonfai81 asked:
They say the best thing about it is that the only thing that comes out the exhaust is water vapour. But isn’t water vapour more of a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide? Doesn’t it trap more heat? What would potentially be the effects of the whole planet running cars that release water vapour into the atmosphere?
