Can an Automobile Engineer become a successful software developer?

Hi, I hv done Automobile Engineering but got employed in a good software company as a trainee. But as its( Computer Programming) not my background, I am worried that because of this i am going to get some trouble in future. Can i expect a good scope in software programing ?I am very much sure that i can handle this programming thing very well. But still i would like to know your view regarding this.

Yes, Automobile Engineer can become a successful S/W Developer. But see that you Study your Basics well[Languages Like C, C++, Core Java]. It is also important for you to update yourself at regular intervals. There are many websites which conduct free online exams in all the languages, attend those to See how far you are ready to work in S/W industry. Yes, you can be a good programmer because for programming you need to build up your logical skill and understanding power. Umesh Kumar
