Can a wash. machine drive belt be purchased at any automotive store?

automotive
GabbaDo asked:

I have a Kenmore washer/dryer combo unit. The drive belt on the washer just broke and I need to know if I can get the same drive-belt at a local automotive store, like Kragan, Chief Auto, or any other auto supply center.
My wife and I have twin 2 year olds and need to wash alot of cloths.
The number on the belt is: 131686100 28-8 4A
Please help, if you can.

Yes, you should be able to buy it at most auto stores. Take the old one with you for comparison. Chuck K

if you take the belt to a auto shop they can usually match it up with an auto belt but nothing is as good as an original part. the part #sounds like Frigidaire check their dealer first. robforgotit
