nancyclarissa1970 asked:
Where can I find out what the dealership actually pays for a car (new and used) so I can see what kind of leverage I have when negotiating a price on a new car? I refuse to go into a dealership again without knowing all the facts so I don’t get screwed by their high sticker price! Thanks!

Digital Dude asked: Recently I had to pull over to the side of a road because I was lost. When I pulled over I put my car in park and applied the brake. When I shifted to drive (I have automatic transmission), I forgot the brake was still on and went a few feet before taking it off. I was only going less than 25 mph at the time.
The only thing I noticed was that the car was going much slower than normal. I’ve heard that leaving the brake on screws up or destroys my transmission but I would like to clear this up for certain.
Thanks!

I can’t believe how awful most of the shots are of used cars on dealership sites. I’m curious to see a dealership that actually has some decent photography for used cars — imagery that they have to take themselves rather than relying on the car manufacturer or cooperative advertising stock photography.

Every time I call to see what is going on they say Oh they didnt call you it should be done tomorrow. On monday of this week my Boyfirend called over there to see what was going on, and the guy was liek oh they didnt call you I feel really bad but some older lady was all frazeled in the lot and backed into your car about a week ago. We are sending it out to be fixed it should be done by Wednsday of this week. Well Yesterday I stoped by to see if it was done yet and the guy was like oh we are sending it out tomorrow they didnt call you? It should be done by tomorrow afternoon. I went over to the car to look at it The hood was up, parts were out, the trunk was open, and there was a huge dent in the door, and straches on the opposite fender. Is this Legal? I took pictures of it all last night. What can I do?

I found this remote car starter kit at an auto store for about $30. I know that most remote car starters run for about $300. I know its not top of the line or anything. I just want to know if this cheap car starter could harm my car in any way. I have a 2000 mercury grand marquis if it makes a difference. Thanks!

asdfasdf a asked:
I donĀ“t want to get a remote start on this car and i don’t want a “oil driven heater”.
If i would buy an electronic device which would turn on (by a timer) at maybe 7 o’clock in the morning, i would have to have the car electronics switched on, right? (that would mean that the battery would be dead the next morning).
Any ideas how to have the car warm when you step in it during cold winter mornings?

How much worse is it to keep your car parked out in the snow rather than in garage or carport? Is the only difference the pain in scraping it and cleaning it off, or is it actually bad for the car to be in the cold snow like that? Anything i should do to prepare?

bretclancy asked: I’m looking for a cordless car vacuum that will work well for cleaning my car. I like to have some kind of an extension or piece that can get between/under seats as well.
Any thoughts? I haven’t found one good one…The Dyson small vacuum is too expensive.

A car is traveling at a constant speed of 34 m/s on a highway. At the instant this car passes an entrance ramp, a second car enters the highway from the ramp. The second car starts from rest and has a constant acceleration. What acceleration must it maintain, so that the two cars meet for the first time at the next exit, which is 1.4 km away?
